Mollie was born on a farm five and one half miles southeast of Victor, Iowa.Marriage
BRENNIMAN - WEATHERBE --- Married at the residence of the groom's parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Reuben Brenniman, Wednesday evening March 30, Mr. Frederick Brenniman and Miss Mollie B. Weatherbe, Rev. C. T. Oehler, officiating.Notwithstanding the terrible condition of the roads about sixty guests assembled to witness the beautiful ceremony which united the hearts of these young people. Quite a number were prevented from attending by the condition of the roads. At eight o'clock the wedding party entered the south parlor to the strains of the beautiful wedding march played by Miss Ella Kraft. Rev. Oehler led and was followed by Mr. Norman Gaumer of Victor, brother (cousin??) of the bride and Miss Eda Brenniman, sister of the groom, who wore cream henrietta trimmed in brocate satin and lace and carried roses, and Mrs. Frederick Brenniman, the groom, and Miss Mollie Weatherbe, the bride, who wore a handsome costume of cream henrietta trimmed in brocate and lace and carried bride's roses. Those acting as ushers were Mrs. C. Crider, dressed in brown diagonal cloth, Miss Lizzie McLain, dressed in cream china silk and Miss Emma Breniman, dressed in pink china silk.
The ceremony was very impressing and after congratulations and well wishes were over, the company repaired to the dining room where they partook of a supper that would have done honor to a king. The presents were handsome and numberous, forming as fine a collection as we have ever seen on such an occasion. The donors showered good judgement in their selections, almost every article being useful as well as ornamental.
The young couple are well and favorably known in this community, both having been born and raised in Lincoln Township. Fred is a young man with a good business education, having graduated at the Iowa Business college, of good character, sober and industrious, a general favorite with all who know him. Miss Mollie was one of Poweshiek's brightest teachers, an accomplished young lady who can preside with equal dignity in parlor or kitchen. She is a graduate of the Victor schools. The young couple will begin life on the farm knows as the Thos. Manatt farm. May life be all that their brightest anticipations have pictured it, is the wish of their many friends.
