Charles Willard MCSHERRY

(1 May 1887 - 18 Jan 1974)

Charles was the son of Joseph and Euka Mitchell McSherry of Waverly, Kansas. He moved with his family to Grand Junction, Colorado, then went to Ft. Collins, Colorado. While there, he took a Prep Course at the Colorado Agriculture College and continued his education. He returned to Iowa and engaged in farming with his father-in-law on the farm five miles southeast of Brooklyn. He then continued farming on his own and later retired.
He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Brooklyn. He was also a member of the Corinthian Lodge No. 174 A.F. and A.M., Past Worthy Patron of Eastern Star of Brooklyn Chapter No. 131 and 50 year member, a 50 year member of Poweshiek Lodge #198 Knights of Pythias, Charter member of the Farm Bureau and a 50 year member of the Royal Arch Masons.
