(28 Aug 1873 - 5 Jan 1948)
An article in the Brooklyn Chronicle, Fri. May 14, 1897, pertains to this man, I believe....HARMONY-May ll Frank Breniman of Ft. Collins, Colo. stopped off Monday to visit relatives and old friends. Frank was on his way home from Chicago where he had been with a shipment of lambs. Frank is one of the leading sheep feeders in the vicinity of Ft. Collins. He is putting into practice some of the lessons he learned in the feed yards at Harmony years ago.
Frank was a graduate of the Highland Park Normal College in Des Moines, Iowa and also attended Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa. He went to Colorado in 1895, built him a house east of Fort Collins where the entire family lived for many years.

Fort Collins Coloradoan (Fort Collins, CO), 10 Jan 1974, p. 11.There's been a Breniman there since '94
Part of the development of a once predominantly farming community into a city is the sale of area farms to firms which will eventually subdivide them for homes or turn them into business property.
The patter has been repeated many times with the rapid growth of Fort Collins. A recent example is a farm which had been the home of one family since the end of the 19th century.
For the first time since 1894 a member of the pioneer Breniman family is not an owner of the 160-acre farm on North County Rad 9E.
The first Breniman to own the property three miles east of Fort Collins was the late Frank P. Breniman, who bought the farm in 1894 after coming here from Brooklyn, Iowa. Their son, Clifton, was born and raised on the farm.
Clifton's widow still lives in a small farm house on the land. A two-story house moved to the property in 1913 is the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Breiniman, who bought the property in 1964 from heirs of his grandparents, Frank P. and Minnie S. Breniman.
The present Frank Brenimans, who have sold the property to the Lincoln Land Acquisition Corp. of Denver will continue to live there for the present. Their son, Frank Jr., operated a dairy farm there with them until the family sold the dairy business about three years ago.
The future? It is a question mark for the Brenimans and the property - except that the couple will continue to live in the Fort Collins area.
