"Judia, not named, born May 15, 1884 in Organ, New Mexico." (El Paso newspaper clipping.) (NOTE FROM RALPH TERRY: Census information also indicates Bert was born about 1884.)

"Bert T. Judia and Stella McKenzie of Solomonville were married in Solomonville by William P. Eadie on the 6 of April, 1903. Witnesses: Frank A. Hyatt and Lillian Judia." (Marriage Records, Clerk of the Superior Court, Graham County, Safford, Arizona, Book B, page 335, married 6 April 1903.) (NOTE FROM JUDIA TERRY: Bert's daughter, Mrs. Delbert Posey, who was nicknamed "Judia," of Ruidoso, didn't know that Bert was married prior to his marriage to her mother.)

"Bert Judia was again arrested and taken to Tombstone Monday. It appears that he is still wanted for his connection with the Naco tragedy." ("The Arizona Bulletin," Solomonville, 22 July 1904.)

1907 - "MARRIED. At the home of the Groom"s mother, corner of Fourteenth and G avenue, Sompson house, on the evening of April 3d, by the Baptist minister, Rev. T. F. McCourtney, Miss Annie Holdberg (sic), an estimable young lady of Douglas, and Mr. Bert Judia the popular street railwoay (sic) conductor, were united in marriage. The bride was becomingly attired in white silk with bridal roses. The wedding morch (sic) was played by Mrs Clara Sisson. After the wedding ceremony the guests did justice to a well prepared wedding banquet after which the company was singing, games etc. Ice cream, cake and wine were served and at a late hour the guests departed wishing the bride and groom a happy future and thanking the hostess for the evening"s enjoyment. The young couple will be at home on Sixteenth street between E and F. Those present included: Mr. and Mrs. Moore, Messrs. O. C. Hadden, Lee Gooding, Men Maiden, Wise Collier, George Ghezoni, W. C. Doran, James A. Gooch, Chris Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. George Younger, Miss Ella Knight, Mr. E. A. Pearson, Mr. Glerk Glerklson, Misses Ida Knight, W. Bisson, Naomi Samson, Mrs. W. W. Sampson, Messrs. E. T. Brooks, A. Mohr, Harold Lypsard, Eugene Van Gunde, Willard Samson, Mrs. Nita Sisson, Mr. Geo. Eby, Miss Gertrude Russell, Mr. Be? C??vy, Mr. Mack Cowan." "LONG-TIME OFFICER DIES IN RUIDOSO --- "Funeral services for one of New Mexico"s oldest and most active law enforcement officers, Bert T. (Pop) Judia, 86, who died early Tuesday in the Ruidoso-Hondo Valley Hospital, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church at Ruidoso Downs with the Rev. Hugh Stiles officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruidoso with Lucas-Wooten chapel of Roses Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Judia, a native of Organ, was constable of Precinct 10 at Ruidoso Downs, a post he held about 14 years. He was a member of the New Mexico Lawman"s Asociation. Mr. Judia spent several years during his early years as a cowboy in the Central and Southern New Mexico areas. He later worked for the Soil Conservation Service. Survivors include his son, Albert of El Paso; two daughters, Mrs. Eunice Shoemaker of Pasadena, Calif. and Mrs. Anna Posey of Ruidoso Downs. Area law enforcement officers will serve as pallbearers. Active pallbearers include Joel Webb, Conn Brown, Bob Miller, Leandro Vega Jr., Glenn Bradley and Ernest Sanchez." ("El Paso Times" (Special to El Paso Times - Ruidoso, N.
