Alice Elizabeth Martin

(October 11, 1897 - April 30, 1969)

"Alice was born in Greenfield, Dade County, Missouri. When she was six years old her family moved to Seiling, Oklahoma where they lived for five years before returning to Greenfield. Alice went to school here and it was not until 1919 that the family moved again. This move took them to Las Animas, Bent County, Colorado. It was here that Alice met and married Harry Lamb. Harry was born 25 September 1892 and was the son of Albert Grant Lamb and May Ida Wright. After a year of courtship Alice and Harry were married 6 June 1920 in Las Animas.

"In 1926, Alice, Harry and their two children moved to Quitman, Arkansas. Their third and last child was born there. In later years they moved to Florida to the town of Gibsonton. Alice died 30 April 1969 in Lakeland, Florida and Harry died the following year on 15 December 1970 in Gibsonton." (Reta M.
