Paul Calvin Hock was born October 28, 1924, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (Oklahoma County), son of Lee Roy Hock and Bettie S. Reynolds.
In 1945, Calvin married Ruby Lou Forsythe, who was born December 20, 1925, in Oklahoma City, daughter of John Forsythe and Ada (maiden name unknown). Calvin and Ruby had one daughter Lana Hock.
Calvin served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and Korea and spent 38 years in the Plant Department at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Calvin died January 30, 1986 Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City and was buried in Resurrection Cemetery. Ruby died in May 2007 and was buried beside her husband.

Calvin Hock, age 61, lived in the Oklahoma City area all his life. Retired in 1984 as an engineer for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after being employed by them for 38 years. He graduated from Central High School of Oklahoma City. Was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, and the Baptist Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and Korea. Survived by his wife, Ruby; a daughter, Lana Coller and her husband, Jim; his mother, Bettie Hock, all of Oklahoma City; brothers, Ralph of Minden Louisiana, Leonard of Kingston Oklahoma, A.J. of Mission Texas, Loyd of Midwest City, Oklahoma, and Joe of Bethany, Oklahoma; 2 grandsons, Jeff and Wayne Thomas of Oklahoma City. Services 2pm Monday, Guardian West Chapel, with interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
