Individual Details

Sarah T. "Elizabeth" Nelson

(November 28, 1814 - June 7, 1872)

1860 Bedford County, Tennessee census, District 3, Shelbyville Post Office, taken 11 June 1860, Dwelling/Family #326/326: Sarah HOLLAND, 35, female, white, real estate - $185, personal estate - $25, Tennessee; Virginia HOLLAND, 24, female, white, Tennessee; Thomas HOLLAND, 7, male, white, Tennessee. (NOTE FROM RALPH TERRY: Virginia Holland is shown at home with her mother. Her husband, William Blessing is living next door, with their first child, Thadius Blessing. Looks as if the census taker did a bit of a mix-up, or Virginia was living with her mother. The head of the household, Sarah Nelson Holland, a widow, was living two doors away from her first cousin Benjamin Nelson.)
