Amanda C. Nelson
(June 29, 1828 - June 27, 1916)
"I am almost blind and am now in my 85th year. My health is very good. You wanted to know about my Father and Mother's people. All I can say, they lived in East Tennessee. I am the youngest child of my Father and Mother's family. They left East Tennessee and went to Middle Tennessee before I was born. My Father died when I was 2 years old. I don't remember of ever seeing any of his people at all." (Letter from Amanda Nelson Little to Miss Ada Little on "T. M. "T. M. "Friends and acquaintances are requested to attend the funeral of OUR MOTHER, aged eighty-eight. Funeral services Wednesday, June 28th, 2:00 p.m., at the residence of T. M. Little, conducted by Bro. S. H. Holmes of Vernon. Burial in Citizens Cemetery. Milus Little, T. M. Little, Mrs. Friddell. Clendon, Texas, 1916." (Funeral Notice card.)
