Martin U. (or V.) Dulin
(Abt, 1842 - February 8, 1863)
Martin U. Dulin was in the Battle of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, a desperate inconclusive battle fought on a desolate frozen field. The sound of the musket fire was deafening, the Confederates charging across a cotton field stopped to pluck raw cotton to stuff in their ears. Martin was taken prisoner and died of a gun shot wound.
