According to Cecil Robert Templer, letters to JAC franked by 'P H Nelson, etc., stolen the day before Joan (nee Templer) Vinson Thomas' auction'. See her details. This is probably a reporting error, because James was too young to be in correspondence with Admiral Lord Nelson, and the letters were in fact probably written to James' father George, in his capacity as a banking partner of Alexander Davison, Nelson's Prize agent and friend.
