Allie Raye Ivy, 78, of Marcella, Arkansas passed away May 31, 2012. She was born June 27, 1933 at Mountain View, Arkansas in the Richwoods community to Alva and Dorris (Tuttle) Martin. She worked as an LPN for many years. She was a member of the Mountain View General Baptist Church. Allie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Survivors are her son, Roger Ivy and wife Connie of Marcella, AR; sisters Nola Pyle of Noblesville, IN; Vada Thompson of Locust Grove, AR; Lola Solida of Bradford, AR; Atha Grooms of Lawrenceburg, TN; brothers Alton Martin of Southside, AR; Lonnie Martin of Anderson, IN; Doug Martin of Kokomo, IN; two grandchildren Thomas Ivy and wife Andrea; Sarah Cox and husband Will; and five great-grandchildren Elizabeth Ivy, Anna Ivy, Abigail Ivy, Tucker Cox, and Zane Cox.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lynn Ivy, son Michael Ivy, brother Clay Martin, sister Alma Thorne, and sister Ava Mawhiney.
Services will be 2 P.M. Saturday June 2, 2012 at Reeds Chapel in Marcella, Arkansas. Minister Kerry Smith and grandson Thomas Ivy will be officiating. Visitation will be Friday June 1, 2012 from 6:00- 7:30PM at the Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Burial will take place at York Cemetery in Marcella, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Paul Ivy, David Ivy, Joe Ivy, Bryan King, Darrell Thompson, and Jason Treat. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Broyles, Lonnie Clark, and Lester Solida.
