Alma Faye Martin Thorne Jones, 77, of Batesville died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006, at her home.
Born Feb. 21, 1929, at Mountain View, she was the daughter of Alvie and Doris Tuttle Martin. She was a homemaker and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Thorne of Locust Grove, Jimmy Thorne of Lynn and David Thorne of Batesville; a daughter, Jane McKeen of Pleasant Plains; three brothers, Alton Martin of Southside, Douglas Martin of Kokomo, Ind., and Lonnie Martin of Anderson, Ind.; six sisters, Nola Pyle of Anderson, Ava Mawhiney of Texas, Allie Ivy of Pleasant Grove, Atha Grooms of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Vada Thompson of Locust Grove and Lola Solida of Bradford; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands, Billy Thorne, Delmar Hall and Ralph Jones; and a brother, Clay Martin.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Jack Knight officiating. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Smith, Joe Smith, Dan Smith, Keith Thorne, Robert Thorne and Roy Thorne.
Honorary pallbearer is Donald Thorne Jr.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.
