GREER- Mrs. Marie Howard Burgess Grant, 66, of 15Maple village, widow of Ira Grant, died at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday in Allen Bennett Memorial Hospital.
Native of Washington State; daughter of the late Chadwick and Bertha Babb Howard; lived in Greer of 50 years; member of Greer Church of God.
Surviving ; daughter, Mrs. Mildred Searcy of Greer; son, Arnold J. burgess of Dover, Del.; brothers, Algon of Greer and Lawrence Howard of Hale Center, Texas; sister, Mrs. Ruth Paris of Spartanburg; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Services 11 Thursday at Greer Chruch of God by the Revs. J. B. Fortner and and James H. King; burial in Mountain View Cemetery.
Pallbearers; Larry Harvey, Randy Foster, Alphus Hunt, Eddie Rhodes, Joe Bolvin and the Rev. Ran Byrne.
Body in church at 10:30 Thursday.
Family is at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Searcy on Pine Drive, Route 7; to receive friends 7-9 tonight at Wood Mortuary.
