GILMER - Graveside services for Mrs. Bessie Rachel Smith, 91, of Gilmer, will be held 2 p.m, Saturday, March 13, 2010, in Enon Cemetery in Upshur County, Texas, with Bro. Charles Johnson and Bro. Jimmy Rogers officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. 
She was born October, 3, 1918, in Upshur County, Texas, to Otis V. Pool and Ruby Ann Davis Pool. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of Rosewood Baptist Church. 
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Nancy Smith of Mount Vernon, Larry and Lana Smith of Rosewood, Donald Smith of Big Sandy; brothers, George Pool, Moody Pool and Paul Pool, all of Gilmer; sister, Audrey Smith of Gilmer; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. 
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Thurman W. Smith in 1975. 
Family will receive friends Friday, March 12 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
