Ms. Pool passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, in Gilmer.
She was born August 23, 1907, in the Rosewood Community of Upshur County, to Otis B. and Ruby Ann Davis Pool.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Eunie Pool Finney in 1999, and Amie Pool Bivins in 2005.
Ms. Pool is survived by her brothers, Sidney J., George and Moody Pool of the Rosewood Community, and Paul Pool of Gilmer; sisters, Rachel Smith and Audrey Smith, both of Gilmer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruthie was named for her great grandmother, Ruthie Jane Wilkins Moon. She was the oldest child born to Otis V Pool and Ruby Ann Davis Pool. She was like a 2nd mother to most of her younger siblings, especially my husband, Paul, who was the youngest. There was 23 yrs between them. Paul always got her a present on Mother's Day.
