1850 U.S. Census Henderson, Jefferson County, New York.

19 Aug 1864 at Syracuse Theodore H. enrolled as a substitute for Chas. G. Nye of Onandaga, NY. Theodore was a private in D. company of the 10th Artillery. He joined Co. Sept. 10, 1864, deserted enroute from Harper's Ferry to Winchester, VA. Sept. 28, 1864. Turned himself in March 20, 1865 to Provost Marshall at Syracuse N.Y. Transferred c June 1865 as private to battalion F upon consolidation of Regt. 19th July Co. F was transferred to 6th NY H. Artillery.
Theodore was born in Canada, age 21, farmer, blue eyes, dark hair, light complexion 5 ft. 4 1/2 inches tall. [Theo was not born in Canada, on all censuses he is born in New York. Records point to his birth being on the family farm at Henderson.] #1641

1870 U.S. Census Henderson, Jefferson County, New York, page 32. Theodore and his brothers, Stratton and Harrison own adjoining farms. Theodore, age 27, lives with his wife Louisa, age 27, and his son Albert age 5. He has $4800 worth of real estate and $800 worth of personal property.

1880 U.S. Census Henderson, Jefferson County, New York, page 2. Theodore, age 37 is a farmer. Louisa age 37 and Albert age 15 live with him. He, his mother, and his brother Stratton have the adjoining farms. Harrison has purchased one in another part of Henderson.

Theodore H. Ivory, 84, life long resident of Smithville died at his home there Tuesday, after an illness of nine years. Death was due to complications of diseases of old age. Mr. Ivory was born in the town of Henderson, son of the late Theothilus and Julia Mack Ivory. He was a farmer by occupation but for many years he conducted a livery stable in Smithville. He was married to Laura B. Barney Ivory, December 16, 1913. He was a member of the 10th Heavy Field Artillery, Company D, 1864, but he was discharged from the 6th artillery company F, 1865. Surviving besides his wife, is one brother, Dewitt- Ivory of Adams Center. Burial at Smithville.
