Laura B. Smith

Laura Smith was the daughter of Nathan Smith born Nov 1820. She first married Leavitt and had two children Merwin Levitt born Dec 1884 and Ina Levitt born Feb. 1889. She married Charles Barney some time in late 1899-early 1900. By 1910 she was a widow once again living at Stowe School house and Camp milk Road in Adams township. Merwin was still at home. Ina lived with her new husband De Elton Amos Hodges on the farm next door. Amos was a herdsman. By the 1920 Census he was a laborer who lived on Smithville Road with his wife Ina and 7 year old son Merwin. and by 1930 a cook in a restaurant. All of the above people were born in New York.
