SPENCER
Services for David Arthur Spencer, 73, formerly of Carlsbad, will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at Denton Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Spencer died Wednesday (May 6, 1992) in Marion, Ill.
Elder Berwyn Hand ad R.C. Hand of the Primitive Baptist Church will officiate.
Family member will greet friends from 6-9 p.m. today at Denton Funeral Home. Interment will be in Carlsbad Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Michael Dean, Stanley Dean, Chad Spencer, Joe Warren, Jarrod Castleman, Charles Allen Spencer, and Jason Spencer.
Mr. Spencer was born Oct. 7, 1918, in Carlsbad. He was a long-time resident before moving to Bloomfield in 1958. He moved to Illinois in 1974, where he resided until his death.
He had been a carpenter with Potash Co. of America, a member of the Primitive Baptist Church of Bloomfield and a member of the AFL-CIO carpenter millwright.
Survivors include his wife, Opal Spencer of Creal Springs, Ill.; one son, Kenneth Spencer of Bloomfield; four daughters, Elaine Dean, Judy Rainey, Jeannie Griffith and Davene Cole, all of Bloomfield; one brother, Charles Spencer of Decatur, Ill.; two sisters, Elsie Marero of California and Rosa Lee Hutton of Breen, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
