Individual Details
Minerva Elizabeth Bookwalter
(23 Apr 1864 - 30 Apr 1942)
Minnie was the daughter of Michael Buchwalter & Sarah Kulp. Her mother passed away when she was about 8 or 9 years old. Her father re-married and her step-mother did not make a good home for the children.
She was married to Charles Marion Ford, Feb. 10, 1887 in Washington Co. Iowa and they were the parents of 5 children. They made their home in Nevada, Missouri on a farm named "Rose Valley".
Minnie had a wonderful sense of humor and could see the funny side of most things. She loved music and enjoyed singing and playing the organ.
The greatest sorrow in Minnie's life was the untimely death of her son Denny. Her grief and sorrow was comforted by knowing her child was in the glorious hands of God.
She was such a happy person, a good neighbor and a wonderful mother. She enjoyed all things in life, even the struggles, that made her stronger. She kept her faith, and her family was her life and oh how she enjoyed them.
