Maude P. Wilson, 86, Frankfort, Kansas, died Tuesday, March 4, 1997 at a Marysville hospital.
Mrs. Wilson was born June 22, 1910 in Blanchard, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Mary (McNight) Steele. She lived most of her life in Marshall County. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the United Methodist Church in Frankfort. She married Orville Wilson on February 5, 1932 at Maryville, Missouri. He died November 12, 1992. Mrs. Wilson also was preceded in death by two sons, Edward Wilson, on August 31, 1992, and Robert Wilson on January 10, 1993.
Mrs. Wilson and her husband farmed in the noble and Vermillion areas.
Survivors include two brothers, Ben Steele and Russell Steele, both of Bennett Colorado; a sister, Rose Petrone, Denver, Colorado; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Padden Funeral Chapel in Frankfort with the Reverend Susan Montgomery officiating. Musical selections were "Nearer My God To Thee", "Just a Closer Walk With Thee", by Organist Eunice Samuelson and sung by Lorene Shearer. Instrumentalists were Katie Wilson and Henry Littich. Pallbearers were Bret Clikeman, Henry Littich, Gary Wilson, Rodney Wilson, Eddie Wilson, and John Bieber. Interment was in the Frankfort Cemetery, Frankfort, Kansas
