J. O. "Orville" Wilson, 81, Frankfort, Kansas died Thursday, November 12, 1992, at the Frankfort Care Home.
Mr. Wilson farmed most of his life in the Nobel and Vermillion townships north of Vermillion in Marshall County.
He was born March 2, 1911, on a farm near Tarkio, Missouri, the son of Harry and Zula (Pursell) Wilson. The family later moved to Iowa, and he graduated from Memorial High School at Blanchard, Iowa in 1931.
Mr. Wilson was a member of the United Methodist Church, Frankfort, Kansas.
He was married to Maude P. Stelle on February 5, 1932, in Maryville, Missouri. She survives; a son, Edward L. Wilson, died August 31, 1992.
Other survivors include a son, Robert, R. Wilson, Waterloo, Iowa; a sister, Nancy Bayles, Hasting, Nebraska; a brother, Robert R. Wilson, Aurora, Colorado; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 1992 at Padden Funeral Chapel, Frankfort, Kansas with the Reverend Bruce Emmett officiating.
Lorene Shearer, accompanied by Ann Kelly sang "Old Rugged Cross" and "How Great Thou Art".
Pallbearers were Hank Sisk, Sonny Sisk, Bill Bramhall, Mike Bramhall, Roger Turnbull and Larry Hicks.
Burial was in Frankfort Cemetery, Frankfort, Kansas.
