She rose stoically and with devout faith to every circumstance within her aging life, especially her death. She relinquished her fears and expressed sincere gratitude for the life she had. She is greatly missed. Somewhere she shines.

Also survived by devoted siblings Katherine Perros, Alice Anagnostis and Chris Kallianes; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband George P. Lynard. Family will receive relatives and friends at JOSEPH GAWLERS SONS, 5130 Wisconsin Ave., NW, Washington, DC on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7 at The Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, 7701 Bradley Blvd., Bethesda, MD. Interment following the funeral at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave., Aspen Hill, MD. Contributions may be made in Christine's name to The Greek Orthodox Church of St. George at the above address.
Christine was living at the home of her son, Louis Lynard, and his wife, Cindy, in McLean, Virginia, for several years prior to her death.
