Death
Died of cancer.Email from Kathryn Lynard, June 10, 2018: He is being cremated and there will be a small service on Saturday. Apparently the orthodox church just barely decided (within the past couple of weeks in fact) that priests can say prayers at such an occasion. So Father Steve will attend the burial and offer some prayers. Aunt Cindy said as far as she knows this will be the first cremation burial that Father Steve will participate in. I looked at tickets to see if I might be able to be there but it just won't work for me, and I'm sad about that. I told Aunt Cindy that you have been inquiring about her and that you send your love. She appreciates that and says to tell you that she think she will be okay even though she is very sad. The ending was quite sudden and unexpected, and several members of the family had been at the house that morning but Aunt Cindy was alone when he suddenly died, and the last moments were very traumatic for her because he couldn't get any air and he was struggling and she felt very helpless. She basically had to watch him suffocate. It sounds like it was truly awful for both of them and that is heartbreaking.
