PETER CALOMIRIS
On Friday, July 22, 2011, Peter Calomiris of Washington, DC, peacefully passed; beloved husband for 61 years of Pauline Chipouras Calomiris; devoted father of Janet Sussman (David), Connie Korobkin (Alan) and George Peter (Artemis); adoring grandfather of Kimberly, David, Cristin, Peter, Alexander, and Jonathan. He was preceded in death by his brothers James, William and Donald. Also survived by his sister, Martina Chapin. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, July 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Joseph Gawler's Sons Funeral Home, 5130 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, DC 20016. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 27 at 11 a.m. at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 4115 16th St. NW Washington, DC 20011. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made In Memory of Peter Calomiris and mailed to:YMCA National Capital1711 Road Island NWWashington, DC 20036 -
