"WIDOW OF DOCTOR IS DEAD AT PERU
Peru, Ind. - March 11 - Mrs. Ellen O'Brien McDowell, 83, widow of Dr.H. B. McDowell and the mother of Dr. Marvin McDowell of the Logansportstate hospital staff, died at her home here late Tuesday after severalmonths illness from heart trouble. Born in Dayton, Ohio, she hadresided here eighty-two years.
Two sons, the Logansport physician and Vincent McDowell ofPensylvania, and a daughter, Gladys McDowell, of Peru, and fourgrand-children survive.
Funeral rites are to be held at the St. Charles Catholic Church at 9o'clock Friday morning and burial will be made in Mt. Hope cemetery.The family requests that flowers be omitted."
