"INDIANAPOLIS - Mrs. Mary Britton, 75, 5915 Julian Ave., Indianapolis,died at 10:40 p.m. Saturday in her home, following a two-year illness.
Born Oct. 4, 1898, in Onward, she was the daughter of John and Flora(Waggaman) McDowell. She was married Dec. 17, 1915 [sic], to EdgarKeith Britton, who preceded her in death July 1, 1956.
She was a member of Onward Christian Church and the Order of theEastern Star in Kokomo.
Surviving are a son, John Britton of Findlay, Ohio; three daughters,Mrs. Helen Stevens of Indianapolis, Mrs. Martha Peck of Indianapolisand Mrs. Juanita Moss of Kokomo; a abrother, Paul McDowell of Peru;two sisters, Mrs. Martha Young of Peru and Mrs. Ruth Widner of Onward;eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Two brotherspreceded him [sic] in death.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Fenn Funeral Home, withthe Rev. Raymond Kays officiating. Burial will be in Memorial ParkCemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday."
