David Jones ran off with Rachel Friend Weatherhead, they went to Indiana, never married as far as I know. She had been married to John Weatherhead (brother of my ggg James). John divorced her and remarried, records in Miami County.

"Yesterday I looked up Mark McDowell's estate at court house plus copying a page from Miami Valley Pioneer book by Lensey (sic) Brien (enclosed). You'll see some very interesting things and Kentucky is NOT mentioned but they could have gone down there for some period of time.
There was no final distribution of estate papers in file; that would name the heirs. I know Mary w/o David Jones to be a daughter of Mark McDowell as her children were sueing for their share of David Jones's (sic) estate (and he wasn't yet dead apparently) and it listed in the suit that David Jones had gotten the land from Mark McDowell. David Jones had been gone for years then apparently and Abner Jones, the oldest son, had taken over the raising of crops on farm so they sued his mother, Mary and Abner for their share of David's farm when he wasn't yet dead, according to Lostcreek Baptist Church yard records. Estate #1002 Mark McDowell, Miami Co. Probate 24 January 1840."
