"Herbert Constantine Deines of Grand Junction, died Monday at the Veteran's Hospital there, where he had been a patient for three weeks.He had been in ill health for four and a half years.
Deines was born May 11, 1912, in Russell, Kan., where he was reared. He had worked as a uranium miner in Uravan.
Surviving is a son, Stewart Niel Deines of Heron, Mont.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Patty Kardocus, also of Heron; four sisters, Mrs.Fred (Helen) Dietz of Greeley, Mrs. William (Martha) Mai of Sharon Springs, Kan.; Mrs. Fred (Marie) Koleber of Greeley, and Mrs. William (Mollie) Berschauer of Wakeeney, Kan.; three brothers, Emanuel Deines of Olympia, Wash., Paul Deines of Port Angeles, Wash., and S. H. Deines of Pueblo; one half sister, Mrs. Les (Elfrieda) Graham of Seattle, Wash., and a half brother, Dan Deines of Olympia, Wash.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Adamson Memorial Chapel, with interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens."
