Narcissa SWANSON

(Bet 1810 and 1811 - 29 Nov 1876)

Possible birth place of Canton, Stark Co., OH and death informationfrom Anna. Not verified and it seems unlikely. Anna didn't give me asource for that.

In a letter to Ethel Pratt Brown on 27 Jul 1979, Anna said that W.P.and Narcissa Fletcher farmed in Farmersville and two of their sonslived in Visalia. Alfred was married and James still single. Levi wasmarried in January 1872 and lived in the Farmersville area. Shebelieved Stearns Fletcher lived with his parents. The Fletchers werehouse painters. Daughter Mary Eunis was not only Aaron Swanson's wife, she was his first cousin. Aaron referred to the Fletchers as"half-cousins" and they became his half-brothers when he married. LeviFletcher was ambushed and shot as he walked with his wife Louise inApril 1872. The trial and an undercurrent of feud left many bizarrespeculations. Stearn's death, 8 months after Levi's; Aaron's divorceand departure of the Fletchers have left big gaps in our search fordates and places. She further asked Ethel what were the eventssurrounding the death of Nancy (Day) Fletcher, wife of Alfred and eventhe death of Alfred in 1910. Another place in the letter gives Levi'sdeath as April 1872 in Farmersville and Stearn's in Dec. 1872.
