Jacob Eikenberry Senior

Jacob Eikenberry was a farmer, school director, and bank director. During the Civil War, Jacob paid the money necessary to be released from military service due to his membership in the German Baptist Brethren church. He had been drafted by the Confederate States. In 1865, he and his family moved to Preble County, Ohio, west of Farmersville. In 1871, they moved to Darke County, near Franklin Township.
