"Julie was born on the day before Easter at 1:26 A.M. and weighed 7 pounds, 15
ounces and was 21 inches long. She has blond hair and brown eyes and is a very
feminine little girl. She and her mom enjoyed going to a parent-child
observation preschool class when she was three and four years old. In
September, when she was five, she started kindergarten at John Forward
Elementary School. She goes in the morning and likes school very much,
especially the thrill of learning to read. Besides playing with her friends,
Barbie dolls and playing house, like all girls, she likes perfume and pretty
dresses. When she was three years old, she won a blue ribbon for looking like
Becky Thacker on Tom Sawyer Days. When she was five years old, she started her
first tap dancing lessons and had her first recital in December 1973. She also
likes helping Mommy in the kitchen." (Marilyn Houghton, 1974).
(1995) Julie resides in Santee with her husband, a baby, two dogs and two cats.
While she was a senior in high school, she won a "sutdent of the year" award
for San Diego county in a ROP medical program. She also was a Candy Striper at
Grossmont Hospital where she has worked for the past six years as a Registered
Nurse. While a student nurse, Julie was married to Gary Michael from
Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who was then in the Navy serving aboard the U.S.S.
Constellation. On Feb. 18, 1994 Julie had a beautiful baby boy named Kevin
Charles. Besides being a busy new mother and working three 12 hour shifts a
week in "ortho-neuro" at the hospital, Julie enjoys gardening and drawing
cartoon art which she's very good at.
