"Ricky was born on a Monday morning at 6:02 A.M. and weighed 8 pounds, 7 1/2
ounces and was 22 inches long. He has brown hair and green eyes and has always
been an active little boy. He attended a parent-child preschool class once a
week with his mother when he was 4 and 5 years old. On September 15, 1969 he
began school at John Forward Elementary School. This year he is at Gage School
where they have a smaller class for children who need extra help in learning.
He likes this class because they also have woodshop. When Ricky was six and
seven years old, he and his dad belonged to the YMCA Indian Guides and they
enjoyed camping, pinewood derbies and a kite flying contest. Ricky did quite
well and has a few trophies to show for it. Now he is in the Cub Scouts and his
mom is the den mother. Ricky loves caring for animals, making things
with his hands... is very mechanical. Also likes bike rides, climbing trees
and camping out with the family. He played baseball in Little League for two
years, and also has fun on his skate board."
(Marilyn Houghton, 1974).
(1995) Rick currently lives with his girlfriend at a small horse ranch in
Lakeside about 11 miles from us. For years Rick has enjoyed fishing and fixing
up old Mustangs. But he has traded that love for his mustang horse "Charlie".
Still loves fishing!
