Services for Henry Juilfs, 74, will be held this afternoon (Thursday) at 2 p.m. from the St. Matthew's Lutheran church, with Rev, H. L. Adix officiating. Henry Juilfs was born in Germany and came to the United States when 12 years old; he made his home his entire life in the Monticello vicinity with the exception of the past 12 years spent at the Lutheran Home at Muscatine.
His demise came following a short illness. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Schmidt, with whom he had previously made his home, 11 years ago. He never married.
Burial will be made at Oakwood cemetery with the Goettsch funeral home in charge. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased.
