Eleanor Van Meter

May not be Jacob's daughter. In the Haw study, this child is referred to in the will of John Van Meter, Jacob's father: "To my son, Jacob Van Meter, and to his heirs lawfully begotten or supposed to be gotten from the time that his wife's first child was born, not being his, one piece or tract of land, being part of the tract whereon I now dwell containing 233 acres, etc."

Eleanor was married to Mr. Kline and remained in Pennsylvania when her father left for Kentucky with the rest of the family.
