-- Ref - Grandpa Artie F. DeWitt (1878-1956) stated Paul had 10 or 12 children and they were the first DeWitt family to move into lower PA and West VA area, others came later.

May 1, 1750. Minisink Valley Reformed Dutch ChurchPaul Dewitt, Catharine Dupuy, his wife, were witnesses at the baptism of Lisabeth, the daughter of Daniel Devoor, Jun, and Mally Leed.
Marriage
Maria is the wife given for Paulus DeWitt in the DeWitt genealogy by Andrew Provost. This is probably a different Paulus DeWitt than the one that married Catherine DePuy. To date, I haven't resolved the differences between the work of Provost and Gazaway (Helen Perry).Endnotes
