Wife's maiden name was Grumm, a native of Germany also; they were married in 1861; have seven children living, named Bertie S., Henry E., Gora M., Augusta E., Carl C., Emma M. and Laurence R. All of the family are in the Lutheran Church. Mr. Jacobs is a Republican.
