Death
MRS. ALBERT HEIKEN, 79, passed away at the Brandt Nursing home in Wyoming following a long illness.Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the St. Matthew's Lutheran church with the Rev. Arnold E. Schlueter in charge. Pallbearers included, Louis Eiben, Ben Eiben, Henry Eiben, Paul Schmidt, Harold Eiben and Enno Burrack. Burial was at Oakwood cemetery.
Born Elise Eiben, Feb 26, 1870, near Monticello, she was the daughter of Gerd and Christina Von Besten Eiben. She was married to Albert Heiken, March 9, 1898, and they farmed near Monticello until they retired in 1936 and moved to Monticello. Mr. Heiken preceded his wife in death April 14, 1944.
She is survived by the following daughters, Mrs. Henry (Hattie) Hinrichs, Caroline Heiken, Emma Heiken and Mrs. Sam C. (Clara) Rhatigan, all of Monticello; and Mrs. Leonard (Irene) Suchsland of Caldwell, Idaho; and three sons, Louis, Monticello; Ernest, Coggon; and Harvey of Bakersfield, Calif.
She is also survived by two brothers, John of Waubeek, and Henry of Onslow; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Heiken, Monticello and Mrs. Matilda Martens of Manchester; and 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
