James Prouty, unmarried, about 50 years of age died at the old Prouty Homestead, of pneumonia, yesterday mornings after a short illness. Deceased was a son of the late R.A. Prouty who came from Iowa and settled on the ranch over 30 years ago. The remains were taken to Prindle's undertaking parlors to wait the arrival of absent relatives before funeral arrangements well be made.The Colville examiner. (Colville, Wash.), 30 Sept. 1911
