==========================
In October 2003 Gail Kinslow wrote this about Fayette.

Fayette (Fay) Henry Putnam met Flora Marie Blair through his sister Carrie. (Flora was adopted) Flora and Carrie attended a girls school in Minnesota. When Flora died Helen was 8 years old, Ruth was 6 years old and Johnny was 4 years old. After Flora died the children were sent to a catholic orphanage.
The first year they stayed all year long except for Johnny, who was only there a few months. Fay took him out as Johnny wouldn't stop crying. The boys and girls were separated at the orphanage. Perhaps if Johnny could have been with his sisters he woould have been ok. After Johnnywent home a woman named Frances helped take care of him. The second year the girls were in the orphanage they went home for the summer.
Fayette was farming and he drove an old Buick.
