A funeral for Ruth M Reid, 65, of 26 NW Hawthorne will be held at 11 am Saturday at Nisworger-Reynolds Chapel. Donald M Beake of the First Lutheran Church will officiate.
Mrs. Reid was born to Fayette H and Flora Putnam on Oct 29, 1913 in Elk River, MN. A long time resident of Bend she had been employed by Wagner's as a office manager and bookkeeper for over 20 years. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, the Lady Elks and the Women of the Moose.
She also was past president of the Bend Soroptimist Club and the Women's Retail Credit Association.
Survivors include a son, Glen of Yakima, WA; and a daughter, Gayle Kinslow of Cherry Hill, NJ; a sister Helen Steen of Bend; a brother John Putnam of Klamath Falls and four grandchildren.
