The coffee table was built when dad was 9-10 years old.

THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF
William S. Putnam
.........................................................
A LITTLE WAY
A Little way to walk with you, my own --
Only a little way,
Then one of us must weep and walk alone
Until God's day.
A little way! It is so sweet to live
Together, that I know
Life would not have one withered rose to give
If one of us should go.
And if these lips should ever learn to smile,
With thy heart far from mine,
"Twould be for joy that in a little while
They would be kissed by thine!
.....................................................................
To my beloved wife, Catherine, I leave and give everything, both real and personal. I give her power, as my attorney, without bond, to dispose of or otherwise handle, in any way she deems best, my entire estate, both real and personal. May God bless her and take care of her and our boy.
