Chester Hatch was born 6 Nov 1881 in Buffalo, Wright County, Minnesota. He lived with Fred Stuart in 1895 at age 13. Fred was Chester's mother's (Ada) brother. Chester's mother, Ada, died earlier in the year and Chester stayed with Uncle Fred. He did not marry. By 1918 he moved to Deer River, in Itasca County, where he worked as a teamster. Later he moved west to Montana living there for some time eventually farming near Sheridan, MT.
He moved to Sand Point, Idaho, where he died in August of 1970
