Farmed near Clara City, MN in 1880s.Came to Am in 1872 at abt age 8. He came to Minnesota with brother Tom in 1880s. At first he farmed but he later had a livestock selling business.

A baby boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Mike Condon on Lincoln's birthday and Mike says he is going to name him"Lincoln" in honor of the great president. Several weeks later Mrs. Condon died from blood poisoning at 40 years of age. She had 11 children.

Mr. Zimmerman who lives in Louriston, gave his fat pig an automobile ride to Mike Condon's meat market. It was probably the first hog to receive such a ride, but it won't be the last one when auto trucks come into use.

About 1900 Mike Condon came to Clara City. He had come to the U.S.A. from Ireland with two older brothers when he was nine years of age. He lived with his brother, Tom, in Louriston until he was old enough to farm. He married Louise C. Fritz in 1889 and farmed and worked up a business buying and selling livestock. Mrs. Condon died in 1913 and he in 1922. Their children were Rose (Mrs. Lue Tomes), Kate (Mrs. L.J. Tammen), Emmet, Louis, Walter and Marie(Mrs. J. Emmen), Frank William J., Lucille, John and Lincoln A. After Mike died Frank ran the business for a short time then Emmet and Walter operated the stockyards until 1974 when the business was discontinued. Condon Circle Steel was started by Walt Condon in 1958, selling farm-related equipment in the West Central Minnesota area. In 1964, new headquarters were constructed in Clara City;and Walt's son, Tom and Paul, expanded the business into providing grain bins and other farm-related structures to the agri farm market. In 1984 Condon Circle Steel constructed the unit train load out facility for the Clara City Farmers Elevator. Today, Condon Circle Steel is a multi-State construction company that builds many types of commercial and grain storage structures.

Mike Condon came to America from County Cork, Ireland when he was 9 years old. He and his brother Tom, 15, made their way to Minnesota where Tom settled in St Cloud and Mike in Clara City.
Louise Fritz was born in St Paul, Minnesota. Her father had come from Germany and their mother, Kathryn Schindler, from Austria. The Fritz family later moved to Clara City.
After their marriage, Mike and Louise lived in and around Clara City where Mike at various times farmed, owned a meat market and was a cattle buyer. They had seven sons, Frank, Bill, Emmett (Fader), Luke, Walt, Jack, and Lincoln, and four daughters, Rose, Kate, Lucille, and Marie. Lucille , the middle of eleven was born in 1902. Her mother died when she was eleven years old. By 1919 the older girls were married and Lucille was taking care of the family.
