Served in WWI and is recognized in a book called the Colors of Chippewa County as #7 of the 20 young men from Chippewa County who went off to fight in the war. He was placed in the Wagoner Supply Co., 346th Infantry. Says he was born Feb. 2, 1895 but he was born Feb. 2, 1894. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Condon. Entered service at Montevideo, Sept. 19, 1917; to Camp Dodge, Sept. 20, 1917; transferred to Camp Pike, Nov. 1917; transferred to Camp Dix, June 1918. Overseas in Aug. 1918.

Clara City - William (Bill) Condon of Raymond died last night (Thursday) at the Pleasant View Nursing Home in Willmar at the age of 85. Funeneral arrangements are pending with the Wing Funeral Home in Clara City.
