The Hubberts and Flynns came to America at same time. They arrived in New York aboard the ship City of New York on 24 Mar 1873. This ship departed from Liverpool and Queenstown.
On board were Thomas Hubbert, 37, farmer, husband; Mary, 34, wife; John, 8; Mgrt,7; Mary A, 5; Honora, 3; Elizabeth, 1; Thomas, 1.
Also on board was Thomas' brother, Pat, 35, farmer and Mary's brother, John Flynn, 32, farmer.
Traveling with them was also Mary Coleman with two children, James, 7 and Mary J, 1. Mary Coleman was Thomas' sister.
