The sons dispersed from Maryland to new territories. George Plummer and wife Nancy Kirk, moved to Mason County, Kentucky along with his brother James and his wife Dorcas Cash. Son Joseph Plummer settled in Ash County, North Carolina. His son James Plummer, born in 1799 in Ashe County, North Carolina, lived in Washington, Symth, and Grayson Counties, Virginia, then settled in Morgan County, Kentucky.
In 1739, he obtained a Warrant for a land tract that was then in Prince George's County Maryland, falling into Frederick County Maryland upon its cration in 1748 called PLUMMER' DELIGHT containing 50 acres. (Certificate Liber EL-5, folion 518 & Patent Liber LG-B, folio 209) Samuel Plumer of Thomas sold 50 acres of PLUMMER'S HUNTING LOTT on the north east side of Sugar Loaf Mountain along a small drought of Bennetts Creek on 19 Jun 1754 to William McClain, Rachel releasing releasing her right of dower with witnesses Soloman Turner & Thomas Wilson. (Liber E, folio 462). On 11 Nov 1758, he added to his holdings RESURVEY OF PLUMMRS DELIGHT, containing in all 470 acres. The warrant was renewed 8 Aug 1758 & a certificate of the resurvey was granted 13 Jan 1760 with the patent being granted four days later. (Certificate Liber BC & GS-14, folio 57 and the Patent Liber BC & GS-16 folio 324) He served in Evans Shelby Jr's Ranging Co 15 July 1759 to 1 Nov 1759 under Colonel Henry Bouquet in the French and Indian War. (Bedford County Archieves, Vol. III, editor James Biser Whisker, p 20) He sold the 120 acres LAND OF PROMISE along a branch running into Bush Creek on 6 Dec 1769 to Adam Clay. (Liber M, folio 671-672) On 10 Apr 1770, he sold to his son GEORGE PLUMMER 100 acres of WHAT YOU WILL, that was a part of RESURVEY ON PLUMMERS DELIGHT. (Liber N, folio 54). In 1774, he was left 5 shilling through the will of his father. He was a Captain of the 1st Battalion at the beginning of the Reveolutionary War. Son, Joseph, land lying on east side of Bennett's Creek except one hundred acres of same land joiing George Plummer's part of the land to be sold to pay debts. The sons dispersed from Maryland to new territories. George Plummer and wife Nancy Kirk, moved to Mason County, Kentucky along with his brother James and his wife Dorcas Cash. Son Joseph Plummer settled in Ash County, North Carolina. His son James Plummer, born in 1799 in Ashe County, North Carolina, lived in Washington, Symth, and Grayson Counties, Virginia, then settled in Morgan County, Kentucky.
In 1739, he obtained a Warrant for a land tract that was then in Prince George's County Maryland, falling into Frederick County Maryland upon its cration in 1748 called PLUMMER' DELIGHT containing 50 acres. (Certificate Liber EL-5, folion 518 & Patent Liber LG-B, folio 209) Samuel Plumer of Thomas sold 50 acres of PLUMMER'S HUNTING LOTT on the north east side of Sugar Loaf Mountain along a small drought of Bennetts Creek on 19 Jun 1754 to William McClain, Rachel releasing releasing her right of dower with witnesses Soloman Turner & Thomas Wilson. (Liber E, folio 462). On 11 Nov 1758, he added to his holdings RESURVEY OF PLUMMRS DELIGHT, containing in all 470 acres. The warrant was renewed 8 Aug 1758 & a certificate of the resurvey was granted 13 Jan 1760 with the patent being granted four days later. (Certificate Liber BC & GS-14, folio 57 and the Patent Liber BC & GS-16 folio 324) He served in Evans Shelby Jr's Ranging Co 15 July 1759 to 1 Nov 1759 under Colonel Henry Bouquet in the French and Indian War. In 1774, he was left 5 shilling through the will of his father. He was a Captain of the 1st Battalion at the beginning of the Reveolutionary War. (Bedford County Archieves, Vol. III, editor James Biser Whisker, p 20) He sold the 120 acres LAND OF PROMISE along a branch running into Bush Creek on 6 Dec 1769 to Adam Clay. (Liber M, folio 671-672) On 10 Apr 1770, he sold to his son GEORGE PLUMMER 100 acres of WHAT YOU WILL, that was a part of RESURVEY ON PLUMMERS DELIGHT. (Liber N, folio 54). In 1774, he was left 5 shilling through the will of his father. He was a Captain of the 1st Battalion at the beginning of the Reveolutionary War. (Maryland Historical Magazine, Volum 10, page 310-31ll, Volume 11, p 54,57) Will of Samuel Plummer written 2 Apr 1771 & proved 24 Nov 1777 in Frederick County MD (Liber GM-1, folio 12-13) Wife Sarah to have all the land lying on the west side of Bennett's Creek during her natural life. Son, Joseph, land lying on east side of Bennett's Creek except one hundred acres of same land joiing George Plummer's part of the land to be sold to pay debts. Son, James to have the willed to his Mother after her death. Daughters, Mary & Martha, 20 shillings each. Daughters, Jane, Ann & Rachel, 3lbs each. Son, Thomas, 5 shillings. Executor: son, George Plummer. Witness: William Cecil, George Kirk & John Hinton
