George moved to Kentucky where on 22 Aug 1786 joined by sons Samuel and Benjamin and 97 of their neighbors, including Timothy DOWNING and Simon Kenton, they signed petition to the House of Delegates, General Assembly of Virginia for the establishment of Washington then in Bourbon and now in Mason County. The Assembly agreed, setting forth the first town in Limestone Settlement (History of Marysville and Mason County, Kentucky, 1936, page 56) This places the Plummer family in Kentucky at least six years prior to its receeiving statehood.

On August 16, 1786, the part of Bourbon County, known as Limestone settlement petitioned the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Virginia to form a new county. George Plummer, along with Benjamin and Samuel Plummer, also signed this petition. He was a resident of BOURBON COUNTY, KENTUCKY in 1786. The 1790 Census shows him in MASON County. After when he moved to Poplar Plains, Fleming County, Kentucky, and is show there in 1800 census. The place :"Plummer's Landing" in Fleming County, got it's name from George Plummer. He had iron ore smelting operation and in the Black Stair branch of Fox Creek where drovers & boats stopped Plummer's Landing is still show on current maps of Kentucky. The family moved from Kentucky to Ohio in the early 1800's. Moving first to Clermont County, and later to Brown County. They resided on a farm on Bull's King Creek near Mt Zion Church, 5 milies from Freesburg. George"s son Jeremiah & William were instrumental in building the Mt Zion Church in 1820's. George moved to Kentucky where on 22 Aug 1786 joined by sons Samuel and Benjamin and 97 of their neighbors, including Timothy DOWNING and Simon Kenton, they signed petition to the House of Delegates, General Assembly of Virginia for the establishment of Washington then in Bourbon and now in Mason County. The Assembly agreed, setting forth the first town in Limestone Settlement (History of Marysville and Mason County, Kentucky, 1936, page 56) This places the Plummer family in Kentucky at least six years prior to its receeiving statehood.

On August 16, 1786, the part of Bourbon County, known as Limestone settlement petitioned the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Virginia to form a new county. George Plummer, along with Benjamin and Samuel Plummer, also signed this petition. He was a resident of BOURBON COUNTY, KENTUCKY in 1786. The 1790 Census shows him in MASON County. After when he moved to Poplar Plains, Fleming County, Kentucky, and is show there in 1800 census. The place :"Plummer's Landing" in Fleming County, got it's name from George Plummer. He had iron ore smelting operation and in the Black Stair branch of Fox Creek where drovers & boats stopped Plummer's Landing is still show on current maps of Kentucky. The family moved from Kentucky to Ohio in the early 1800's. Moving first to Clermont County, and later to Brown County. They resided on a farm on Bull's King Creek near Mt Zion Church, 5 milies from Freesburg. George"s son Jeremiah & William were instrumental in building the Mt Zion Church in 1820's.
