Heard. On 8 May 1824, Morgan A. Heard had purchased a horse, carriage, and large library of books from Major A. Price.

In the 1850 Census both John and Samuel gave their age as 55 which would indicate a birth year of 1795 rather than 1799 as in the Poindexter book.
