January Term, 1818, Logan Co Court Peter Lynn born 15 Sep 1804 is bound out to J. & S. Poindexter to learn the Carriage making business. In February, Payton Lynn is bound to them also.

The record of the organization of the First Baptist Church of Russellville on Nov. 24, 1818 merely gives the names of the ten who were the first membership and who constituted the first organization; no record in the old minutes state as to where and what church the ten had received their letters of dismissal. The history of Union Church (Now New Union) says "In April, 1818 another colony of ten was dismissed to form the Baptist Church in Russellville." On November 24th 1818 "the following members of the church met at the Meeting House - To wit:

Convey 50 acres being ΒΌ part of 200 acres on which Wm Breathitt dec'd. Deed recorded in Logan County Clerks Offce from Wm Whitsitts Heirs to sd William Breathitt, dec'd. Being sd Susan C. H.'s interest as heir to sd Wm Breathitt dec'd. Purchased by deed of gift from John Edward & Cardwell Breathitt. Land about 2 miles West of town of Russellville on waters of Muddy River. In the 1850 Census both John and Samuel gave their age as 55 which would indicate a birth year of 1795 rather than 1799 as in the Poindexter book. John listed with Elizabeth, Susan, age 21, Marian age 9 and Marinda age 7. Living in Todd Co.
