Marriages of Campbell Co VA, 1782-1810, Ancestry.com
17 Sep 1806. Marriage bond of William Hopkins and Polly N. Haden. Consent by Benjamin Haden, father of the bride. John D. Haden was bondsman and witness.
John "D" Haden is a bit of a mystery. Polly's brother John is said to have died young of a fever - how young? And if his birth "guesstimate" is correct he would have been only 18. Anthony Haden's son John who married Rachel Reynolds also lived in Campbell Co, but he may have already gone to Kentucky by 1806.
